Start with the help panel
Open the game’s information, help, or paytable panel before placing a bet. Treat the rules inside the exact game you have opened as your reference. Similar names and artwork do not mean two games share the same rules.
Find the total bet display, the symbol values, and the description of how winning combinations are counted. Check whether the values shown are currency amounts or multiples of a bet. If a term is unclear, pause and look for its definition in the help panel.
Read each symbol’s conditions
Look for separate explanations of regular symbols, wilds, and scatters. Check where symbols must appear, how many are required, and whether any substitutions are excluded. Do not assume that every scatter symbol pays a prize or that every wild can replace every other symbol.
For a bonus feature, read the trigger conditions and the rules that apply once it begins. Pay attention to any differences between the base game and the feature, including how multipliers are calculated.
Check optional controls
If the game offers an extra-bet setting or a feature purchase, read the displayed cost and rules before selecting it. Confirm the total cost after changing a setting. A larger stake is a larger amount at risk, not a promise of a better result.
A short pre-play checklist
- Can you identify the total cost of one spin?
- Do you understand what counts as a winning combination?
- Have you read the feature conditions and any exceptions?
- Do you know how to exit the game and view your activity?
Understanding the rules helps you understand what the game displays. It does not let you predict the next outcome or guarantee a profit.
